She might finally be free…but revenge will bring her back.
After fighting for her escape, Pride will stop at nothing to release the enslaved shifters still caged in the estate's underground prison. With only one way back inside the fortified mansion, Pride allows herself to be captured.
She might be back inside her cage but this time, she knows she has Logan and Stone on her side-powerful alphas who will both fight to the death for her. But the compound has many secrets…
When bonds are tested and bloodlines are revealed, she'll be heading into a world where no one, least of all Pride, is safe.
Pride Unleashed eBook Cat Kalen
I really enjoyed book one in the series, definitely a different twist on the paranormal. While book two (Pride Unleashed) continues on with the story of Pride and Logan, we also see Stone add some twists not expecting. The plot line of Pride seeking revenge on the evil master and trying to free her people is good, but at times the story seemed to drag. Also, throw in the love triangle, which most of the time is good, however in this case "SPOILER" where Pride in essence was married to Logan, I didn't appreciate her lack of loyalty and fidelity to him. Book two revels some long dark secrets that shake Pride to the core, but I was surprised at how quickly she "got over it". I would have thought she'd be bitter and angry for much longer. It didn't seem to fit with her strong character developed in book one. So read the other reviews. They are good and for the most part accurate. For me, I really enjoyed book one, so much so that I purchased book two. However, I won't buy book three because Pride Unleashed didn't draw me in or leave me wanting to read more. I finished it with a let down feeling of "oh that's not what I wanted to happen". Am I glad I read book one...yes. Am I glad I read book two...yes. Would I read them again...no.Product details

Pride Unleashed eBook Cat Kalen Reviews
If you haven't read a Cat Kalen book yet, you don't know what you are missing! A superb writer with an amazing ability o draw you in and hook you to the very last word, excellent characters, fantastic plot, what more could you ask for? Thank you Ms. Kalen for sharing Pride's story with us! Loved it!!
I can't get over how amazing this series is. After finishing the last book I wasn't sure any author could write another book as entertaining as the first but I was happily wrong. This books starts out a bit slower than the last but with the mystery of her father and a steamy love triangle between Pride and the two Alphas it is far from boring.
I wish I could give this one more stars, and maybe after I read number 1 I might be able too.
I do love Pride! With all she faces she is still strong and sound minded. There are a few parts that I didn't see coming from a mile away.
I'm thinking that if you have a thing for strong woman who can shift into a wolf then you got your book J
I loved Pride's Run and couldn't wait for Pride Unleashed, and I wasn't disappointed. Pride is everything a teenage girl should aspire to be -- comfortable in her own skin, whether it's wolf or human, and a person with strong morals.
After escaping the compound where she and others have been kept prisoner all their lives, Pride can't simply turn her back on the ones still imprisoned. Book two deals with her efforts to free her fellow wolves, and the conflicting emotions she has with regard to the boy she left behind and the one she's chosen. Both love her, and both are worthy of her love in return. I'm team Logan, but I have to say, it wouldn't take much to make me team Stone.
Cat Kalen is fast moving to the top of my "recommended read" list.
What a thrilling sequel! It's a gripping page-turner.
I love Pride as a character; I enjoy reading from her perspective and seeing her grow and find herself. There are so many different kinds of relationships and they are all complex in a way that makes them believable. There are some unexpected twists in the story that had me going through a plethora of emotions. I never saw things coming! I loved how unpredictable this book was. I am amazed at how the author can convey certain events in the compound without giving you a play by play. Overall, the writing is really good.
This was a great addition to the story! I wish the last book was out so I could find out how it all ends. I'm a little disappointed that there was a love triangle introduced... Blah!! I do wish the story hadn't taken that turn bc too many books already have them. I guess I'll just try to be patient and wait it out to see how that aspect of the story ends up. Overall, I thought the second book added a lot to the story and the world outside the compound. It makes you realize that breaking free is just the beginning. Anyhow, this was a fun read and I'll be looking forward to the next book!
I have mixed feelings about this book. The first one in the series was quite good and this one felt lacking. I'm not really sure what it was lacking, but it felt like it was. There's not much action, perhaps. The story doesn't advance much because the vast majority of the story is the main character angsting and trying to deal with her feelings for both of the alphas in her life.
There's a lot of tension, but it feels like very little happens. For a book with a page count of under 200, it shouldn't drag, but it does. Finding out more about the compound was neat, but I would have liked to be introduced to more of the wolves there. The 'twists' were interesting, if a but expected. All in all, this was an alright continuation of the story. I hope to see something with a bit more story in the next book.
