"... if you like Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings, you will love this novel." -- B. Smart, We Said It Literary Reviews (McWood Publishing)
No one ever survives the fiery hell of the Gur al Krin. Until one man does...
When General Wulf Rome gets his orders to chase the marauders into the Gur al Krin desert and not return without their heads, he knows the king has finally decided to eliminate his too-popular general. What he doesn’t know is he is about to trigger the apocalypse.
Wulf Rome survives both the marauders and the desert, but he ends up in a lost catacomb deep beneath the desert sands, where he finds a strange axe embedded in a massive, ancient wall. When he pulls it free, he unleashes a nightmare of epic proportions.
Now it looks like the apocalypse has come. Monsters and diseases plague the land. There is no defense, no enemy even to strike against.
Out of the chaos a mysterious stranger calling himself Lowellin appears. Lowellin claims to be immortal. He claims to be the world’s only hope. But the weapons he offers the land’s beleaguered defenders are dangerous and chaotic and Wulf Rome soon begins to doubt his true motives.
Thus does immortality sow the seeds of chaos…
Wreckers Gate An Epic Fantasy Series Immortality and Chaos Book 1 eBook Eric T Knight
I definitely enjoyed this book. Wrecker's Gate starts a bit like a cross between "Dune" and "Game of Thrones," but soon evolves into a complex world of its own as the story progresses. The characters are easily accessible at the beginning, but they too evolve, from the bluff bravado of Wulf Rome to the tortured inner conflict of Quyloc, who himself doesn't seem to really know what his internal motivation is. The story line moves briskly -- definitely a page turner! I'm looking forward to reading other books in the series.Product details

Wreckers Gate An Epic Fantasy Series Immortality and Chaos Book 1 eBook Eric T Knight Reviews
An epic fantasy adventure, Wreckers Gate does a great job of world building to set the stage for further adventures. A compelling plot that feels unique, I enjoyed getting to know the characters and their motivations. The book grabs hold and keeps you reading. If you enjoy fantasy adventures, you'll enjoy this one.
This has the makings of a good story. I am definitely looking forward to the next. The only strange thing I believe was how we started in Quarath, then moved to the Haven but never tied back. It just seemed that maybe this book should have been a little longer to tie back but I'm sure we will go back in the second. Just seemed to end leaving a little too much. Having said that, I like the writing, it moves well and keeps your interest. Again, looking forward to the next one.
All the different types of characters that I got to know. Some kindhearted, many corrupted and some downright evil. The mix in the book becomes very interesting. So many plots. It makes you want the next book in the series with a quickness. I recommend this to all.
Nice to read a well-constructed, grammatically correct, cohesive story. So much of what is available digitally is just dreck. The basic plot elements are not new, but they feel fresh nevertheless.
In reading this story, I think it's the starter book for the series. The characters need a little more developing but sometimes characterizations show up more during challenges and with diversity. There is more than just a good versus evil story, this adventure story is great. It feels like a normal basic plot of stories in this genre, but the author puts his own spin on it. It's a story that makes you look forward to any story that follows.
This is a good idea with great character development but very little else. It is setting up for later books (I am guessing) but has very little I could see in this book other than that. Ends way too soon and is way too short. To me it seemed like Herbert's 'Dune' if the story ended when they arrived on the planet Dune.
This book is well worth reading. It can be a little hard to follow at times, but it held my interest. In fact, I could not put it down. The story line is believable and the characters are well developed. In fact, I can't really find anything to criticize about this book.
