Resurface A TechnoThriller The Interface Series Book 2 edition by Tony Batton Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks
This sequel to Interface begins to reveal the consequences of the events and technologies featured in the first book, plus some more skeletons in the CERUS closet. Resurface shows us a world in which Tom is coming to grips with his newfound powers and their ramifications for his future, while William Bern and Peter Marron ponder the reality of incarceration.Batton's second work features a more complex plot and a cast of characters both old and new (although the latter have strong ties to both the first book, and CERUS' past history), plus the requisite technological reveals. But just like with Interface, the story is strongly driven by the characters and their relationships to each other, which are heavily coloured by new tensions and dynamics.
Overall, as the familiar cast deals with its own issues and new actors with their own agendas, one thing becomes increasingly clear: Tom is far from the only benefactor of secret (and illegal) CERUS technology.

Resurface A TechnoThriller The Interface Series Book 2 edition by Tony Batton Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
To me, this book was really interesting, and I liked it to the point where I wished that I’d read Interface before Resurface because I think this book would have been easier to understand. I won’t recommend reading it without reading Interface, because it only adds to the confusion that you don’t know the characters beforehand. But it's absolutely a book I would recommend for those who like Science fiction, and if you've already read Interface, you should read this ASAP! The writing is really good, and the way the chapters are divided makes it so quick to read, you totally forget the time!
One of the things that I liked about Tony Batton’s first novel in the series, Interface, was that Batton always kept you wondering which character is the bad guy and this makes for a whole lotta fun. I am pleased to say that Batton doesn’t disappoint with Resurface. Resurface takes off not long after the events that occurred in Interface. Most of the characters that we loved and hated are back along with a few new wicked villains. Our reluctant hero, Tom Faraday, is now dealing with his new found abilities and trying to stay under the radar. This turns out not to be as easy as it seems since everyone and his brother are out to get him. Surprisingly, he finds an unlikely ally and develops an attachment that he finds rather unsettling.
Batton’s series focuses around emerging technologies that one would think are the working of science fiction, but are in fact based on a certain level of reality. Besides brain-computer interfaces which was introduced in the novel Interface, Batton acquaints us with the technology of the invisible cloak. The reality is that scientists are one step away from creating a Harry Potter like invisibility cloak. Batton takes this concept and runs with it in Resurface which should give one pause into why we would want to create something that could so easily be abused.
Resurface is filled with exhilarating action to help brighten up a dreary day. Though I would say that Resurface could be read as a standalone, it would be more fulfilling if Interface is read beforehand.
If you like good techno you'll like the series and this book. I read a lot sci-fi and techno and this one is among the good ones.
Tony Batton returns with Resurface, his splendid sequel to Interface. I purchased it yesterday and was a little tired at work today as I just had to finish the book overnight! Buy this book.
I like the story line and the twists along the way. The tech stuff is not very believable but that is not a requirement for a good story. Really looking forward to book three.
The best sequel to a book I have ever read.......again, couldn't put it down like Interface. Dynamic, thrilling, non stop action - just when you think what's going to happen....BOOM.....guess again. Recommend that you read Interface first and then Resurface. Loved both books.....now just waiting for the next one to come out.
In Resurface, Mr. Batton has delivered another hugely enjoyable page-turner. Chapter after chapter, I had to read on to see what was going to happen next. If you haven't read Interface, that is worth reading first because then you'll see how the characters develop further, and how the technology get scarier! The protagonists take us on a fast-paced journey from location to location in a race against time, with the stakes getting ever higher. Now I'm looking forward to number three in the series!
