My Thoughts
This is such a fun series. It's full of the things that makes reading my passion it's just a little slow at times. We continue our journey with Jazz and Nick, only this time it takes a while to learn what evil forces are really at work. With Jazz's nature of jumping the gun, her relationship with Nick gets out of control thanks to dreams going down a dark path. I can't help but love Jazz with her crazy ways and the trouble she seems to find no matter what way she turns. Nick is a down to earth guy, well as much as one of the undead can be. Things are also getting out of Jazz's control when it comes to Krebs's supernatural relationships. We meet new characters and see some of the old ones. Jazz's work also adds another aspect to the story with new clients and trouble at the car service. Fluff and Puff have their own problems while awaiting Jazz to rescue them. All in all, this is a fun and sassy read that leaves you wondering what is going on in all of the various mysteries. Warning: some explicit content.

I love the series and the characters are really funny. Some of the writing can be a little repetitive. I would recommend. This book and the series to friends especially if you are over the whole tween vampire romance error. These characters are way over their teen years.
If you read one new series this year, pick Linda Widsom's books! Hex Appeal is a fun, entertaining read! I enjoy the characters, and wish there were more adventures and books to read! I laughed so hard, and I just could not put this down! I read for pleasure, and this book definitely was a pleasure.
Another amazing story. I loved every second of it. I do wonder what Jazz's reaction would be if she learned what Nick's dreams were about. But this was such an awesome story it left me with a gigantic smile on my face and ready to read the next story.
I will always review Linda Wisdom books highly because I wish there were more writers like her! So many get the supernatural genre wrong, either romantizing it to the point of de-fanging the genre or creating all these new rules and mythology so it resembles a literary patchwork quilt! Wisdom takes what fans love and know about paranormal stories gives them a modern update and twist of girl power to be a funny, smart read.
After reading 50 Ways to Hex your Lover and thoroughly enjoying it, I had to read the next book Hex Appeal,and it didn't let me down. Fluff and Puff are in Bunny Jail by Jas because they have been accused of killing Willie, a were-weasel. All of this is being played out while Jazz is having nightmares of being a normal human being, and losing all her powers, and at one point even losing her powers. Won't go into any more detail, but I will tell you it's exciting and very fun. We are also introduced to some fun and new hilarious characters especially her Stilletos called Croc and Delilah who love wearing make-up, and have a crush on Krebs her human friend, also Fluff and Puff keep somehow escaping from they're cell and stesling food, Irma, our Ghost is back as well as others. Can't forget our HOT Guy Nick, and Jazz,our witch. This book to me is even better than her last because Linda is letting us enjoy this crazy world with her, and were're learing more about The Witch's Concil and how it works. Can't wait for third book coming out next year. Please read this series, you will really enjoy it, also a great Halloween read as well.
While this book was just a fun as the previous book, 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover, I was let down by how little anything really developed in this book. I expected more back story regarding Jazz and her Boyfriend/Vampire Nick. There was also the issue of the climax, well, not really being much of a climax. The whole book seemed to build to an ending that never quite got there. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of the novel and hoped that the unraveling of everything wouldn't just be something as simple as Jazz saying "that's it!" Other than these problems, I felt that the book was a great, light read that anyone would enjoy reading when they went to take their mind off other things and just not think for a while.
I enjoyed this book enough to finish reading it. There was obviously a previous book which I have not read but it wasn't necessary as the author did a good job of letting you know, briefly, what had happened.
There were two glaring problems with editing in the kindle version. One was words with a space in the middle. The other was missing quotation marks which required you to reread paragraphs to make sense of them. I'm not sure if I will read any more books by this author.
